Movie Ticket to Lord of the Rings:
         The Two Towers: $8 (US)
Christmas Tree: $129 (US)
Californian Experience: Priceless

I'm leaving for Vancouver on Saturday.  My experience this past term in California has been absolutely deleightful.  My most pleasant experience has been with the people from my local church, who have been very friendly and accomodating to me.

Today, went to see the first item on the first list, with church friends.  It was pretty good, although I would recomend sitting a little further back than the second row... the action goes by pretty fast and can get blurry at times.

Mouse Patent Denied

The so called "Harvard Mouse" patent has been denied in Canada, which is just perfect for me.  Basically... this  attempted patent is on a mouse... a living animal... and since when can you patent and entire animal?  Well, oddly (or stupidly) enough, the patent is valid in Europe, Japan, and the US (where it originated).  Happily Canada can do what's right.

In other news... 12 days of work, 16 days altogether before I'm back home!

Kumbaya my Lord, kumbaya
Kumbaya my Lord, kumbaya
Kumbaya my Lord, kumbaya
Oh Lord kumbaya

Anyone recognize this old campfire song?  it's really quite beautiful, perhaps because of it's simplicity.  In a way that's what I long for in Worship... remember Who we are singing to and Why.

Warm outside.., getting the Santa Ana winds, or whatever they are called.  Warm dry winds originating from the desert blowing towards the ocean... raises the tem by anothter few degrees.  I think 18 was pretty good, but I'll take more.

Ahh... I've started jogging... need exercice, plus, must well make good use of the weather.  Was up at 5:45am and went for a morning jog... it's so refreshing.  Hmm, gotta leave for work in a few.

Did I mention that it's going to hit 29°C today =)  Heh, makes me feel good when I listen to CBC Toronto and hear "a high of 6".
